Just like Mokeke, his dream is to be a professional footballer one day and has singled out Bafana and SuperSport United defender, Morgan Gould as his hero. “I look up to him a lot, he motivates me to become as good a defender as he is.”

Kim – Kgolo Primary School team coach, Simon Kgothwane admits it wasn’t easy getting to the Provincial Finals but is confident his team will make him proud on Saturday. “We lost two of our preliminary games but after beating the reigning cluster champions, St Peter’s Primary School, in our third game, things started falling into place. There is only one thing on our minds right now and that is to prove that we can do it. We can win the Provincial Finals and represent Northern Cape at the Nationals.”

Kgothwane singled out strikers Kabelo Jantjies and Zwelinzima Ntlola as key players in his team. Both players scored 6 goals each to put the team into the Provincials.

“The Danone Nations Cup is about encouraging youngsters to believe in achieving their dreams, to develop healthy lifestyles and above all to have fun,” says Sandra Dorville, Communications Manager Danone Southern Africa. “These youngsters have vision and have the ability to do well in future and Danone would like to play a role of assisting in ensuring that the children can aspire to a brighter future and are leaving a healthy lifestyle.”
