DAY TWO COCA-COLA KHAYA MAJOLA CRICKET WEEK
HERO OF THE DAY ANNOUNCED
Kgaudise Molefe from Gauteng has been
named the Coca-Cola Hero of the day for day 2 of the 2018 Coca-Cola Khaya
Majola Cricket Week.
The prestigious Coca-Cola Hero of the
Day award is presented on each day of the tournament in recognition of a game
changing ‘hero’ moment. Kgaudise was
selected as the recipient of the award by a Coca-Cola appointed panel of
cricket experts after he showed perseverance and commitment. Kgaudise opened
the bowling in both innings and bowled nonstop through the innings to take 7
wickets for 39 runs in 23.3 overs. His efforts assisted Gauteng in beating
Border by an innings and 99 runs.
“Winning the Coca-Cola Hero of the Day
award means a lot to me, as It shows that I have grown as a player since I was
also part of the tournament last year. The pitch was turning and the rest of
the team did not feel comfortable bowling from that end so I took the
responsibility to hold up one end for my team. I needed a lot of patience and
with patience I got to take 7 wickets, “said Kgaudise.
