Potential Heroes
-
Polite Shingange is a good opening
batsman that is the backbone of the Prestige batting line-up. He often bats for
long periods of time allowing the rest of the team to bat quickly around him.
He played in the U17 provincial week.
-
Tumelo Banda is a young all-rounder in
the team. He
takes a lot of wickets for the teams and when he bats he scores quickly. He
played in the Provincial U15 week last year.
-
Kagiso Ngwanya is one of the new players in the team. He is a
young fast bowlers and he played in the Provincial U15 week last year.
-
Prospects for the Coca-Cola T20 Schools Challenge National Finals
-
The team has learned a lot since their debut in last year’s
Coca-Cola Schools T20 Challenge in Stellenbosch, the boys have a lot more
confidence and they are ready for the challenge.
-
One of the aspects of our game that has improved a lot is our
fielding. We create a lot of pressure in the field and that give our bowlers
the opportunity to take wickets.
-
The strength in our team is that we can post a total and defend
it.
-
They are in a very tough group so their first focus is to win 2
games and then take it from there.
