The Coca-Cola® All-Star team
finished their final preparations for their match against a Cricket South
African (CSA) selection team with two training sessions at the Powerade High
Performance Centre in Pretoria.
Former Proteas player and team mentor, Paul Harris held a
net session in the morning and a batting session at the indoor nets at Powerade
High Performance Centre. These sessions served to fix a couple of team
placements, bowling and batting skills, and get the All- Star Team mentally
prepared for the anticipated curtain raiser to Coca-Cola® T20 Schools
Challenge.
The sessions were extremely effective, and the boys are
excited to have an opportunity to show off their talents to their peers. “We
have watched a lot of cricket over the last two days and we have trained very
hard but now we are all itching to get onto the field, play and create
unforgettable memories.” said the Coca-Cola® All-Star team captain Francois
Fourie.
Coca-Cola® remains committed to spreading the talent net
wider as the All-Star team is made up of
outstanding players from non-qualifying teams from the six franchise finals and
will receive a once-in-a -lifetime opportunity to play at the Coca-Cola®
Schools T20 Challenge National Finals.
