Day 1 Results of the Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup

Today was the first day of the 2010 Sanlam Kay Motsepe Schools Cup National Finals. The last 18 high school teams started their quest to become one of the 8 teams that will play on Wednesday at the Matlosana Stadium. There was a lot of action and 78 goals have already been scored on the first day.

At the moment, three time champions, Harmony High from Free State topped Group A and are really looking good. They beat their closest rivals Johannesburg Secondary by 3-0 then went on to thrash Bastiaanse 6-0 and beat Mthwazi 3-0. Johannesburg regrouped in their second match to wallop Mthwazi 5-1 and beat Eletsa 3-0.
